View Full Version : Front Wheel bearings

My current project is to stop the whining/knocking noise coming from the front of my car (other than the tappets, suspension tops, gearbox and steering rack lol) ....

Does anyone know where i can get cheap front wheel bearings? I had a quote from ruinult at ?67. I'm guessing GSF will probably send me ones for a txe so don't wanna risk it.

Used to use this place alot for my old GTT's... you MAY need te dimensions though...

yeah, you should be able to give any good bearing company the bearing number/code/dimensions

Thanks for the advice. Does anyone know the dimensions of a 21 Turbo front wheel bearing? Just incase the ones on the car are wrong aswell, would be jus typical as the previous owner(s) spared lots of expense in other areas :mad:

Wiat till I can speak to my contact 'up the road', I can get R5/9/11 bearings at less than half the price of Renault so I may be able to get 21 ones too.....I need one for the Quadra as well anyway.

If someone can get me the Renault part number for a single front wheel bearing I should be abel to get the dimensions for it.

I can only get a part number for a wheel bearing kit.....:confused:

The TXi front wheel bearings are the same as the Turbo ones - ?28+vat from GSF


I know, Ive fitted 4 lots and they all still go round and round.

i got a brandnew pair for the turbo in my workplace (somewhere), i'll check the partnumber.

Correctamundo, I rebuilt a shot turbo one with a second hand TXi one in a moment of desperation and pikeyness :good:

Ill price up the bearings tomorrow.

21 Turbo diesel front wheel bearings are the same, infact any 21 with a J series engine seems to share the same front wheel bearings as the 21 turbo
