much easier and cheaper to put the 21turbo lump in and box. im sure dave will fill you in the details as to why as he loves his 21 turbo anorak, lol. but you cant just bolt a t3 turbo on to it, the 21 turbo engine is designed different to your n/a one even though they are both j7r engines. a few espaces have been 21 turbo powered with great results. my advice, do the full swap or leave it be.

Can we just suffice to say its FAR easier and cheaper to put the 21T lump in than upgrade the current one?
It's late, i'm tired and have to be up at 5am lol

Finding a good engine and box may be a tad difficult but is possible, as for bolting the t3 straight to your engine, no not an option as the compression ratios are different from naturally aspirated to forced induction, you can do it but the engine would die within a day....

Look at paying up to £500 for a whole car with a decent engine and box. You definately got all the bits then.

Some 21 turbos had catalytic converters fitted, these were the later cars on the J An K plates I think (somebody correct me if I'm wrong).
The emissions on your espace is based on the engine fitted hence if you fit a non cat 21 turbo engine to your espace you won't need to keep the cat on your espace still.
This is why the 5 gt turbo owners can fit the gt turbo engine into last of the line N reg shells without the worry of emissions come mot time.
Hope that helps.

there is a 21 turbo box on ebay going for £250 with no bid's at the moment and for an engine your best bet would be talk to craig nicely if he's got any left that is if not he may be able to point you in the right direction!!!!:good2:
