Hi, my r21t is the 1st turbo car i have driven. Ill be at santapod on the 15th and was just looking for a few tips how to launch fast.
What revs to you guys use, ad do u slip the clutch alot?
My car is 2wd.
Any other tips would be great :D
Also would running two space saver wheels on the back reduce drag by much?
Thanks alot

DO NOT use space savers on a drag strip !!!!!!

I've only launched bikes but the mind games are the same

Late stage....your competitors tyres will cool a bit

His nerve will not be so good...he may jump the start

You see that bit on the space saver tyre that says 'DO NOT EXCEED 45MPH', that actually means DO NOT EXCEED 45MPH.

So double that down the 1/4 is a monumentally rubbish idea

A Bunch of us will be there on the 15th, we'll have a chat then. Everyone launches different anyway, it's like different styles of handwriting.

Hi, I thought the 45mph was to cover the manufactures back, and as its only a 1/4 mile at a higher speed, I thought the rubber isn?t going to heat up and deter ate.
Ill leave them at home this time then :D
Thanks
Andy

Err yeah as above dont use the space savers, launch at quite high revs so as soon as you pull away the turbo cuts in and you hit maximum boost.

I always stage first caue in rwyb alsmost as soon as the other person stages the lights start to change and then take you by surprise if you have staged last, so if you stage first you are ready for when the lights go.

I Dont think the spacesavers would maken enough difference to matter anyway matey (at the spec you are running anyway).

An induction kit, stainless and some more boost would though

deep stage if ya want to get the advantage over the other person

if the lights are on the pro et set up, drop the clutch on amber for the fast reaction, just not too fast, dont want any red lights
