Well...

Up early this morning and shortly after greeted by Amtrak in his suit and swa-nky Merc! Good to see you again pal and many thanks for dropping the mounts over.

Anyway crappy weather as I'm sure all are experiencing, but all cleared up at lunch time so cracked on with locating an engine hoist....

Rental was a bit steep and borrowing wasn't an option. Plenty of scafolding poles and £19.99 later we have the following

So now the engines is up a tad, got the drivers side mount out, its completely shafted

I think the bigger one is an oil pressure sensor.. Looks the same on the 19 16v.

Mushroom sensor=oil pressure sender
Thin sensor=oil pressure switch

When the oil pressure hits the minimum it flips the switch, turns the low pressure warning lights off and switches the level gauge on the dash to pressure, from the pressure sender.
The level sensor is the long pen shapes one under the alternator poking into the sump.

And to think I fell for the sob story at my garage the other day when u said you really needed a good engine mount
