lucky ? I dont know if luck got something to do with it...i'm spending a fortune on the parts. And even stranger story, there is more left out there. I'm not talking in france, butt in belgium and holland. You just need to find and and pay the right price for it.

Now, the Fools back at home so i can start banging on my own car with come in this night 18.00h. The shell is painted and work done all over the place. By next weekend she's gotta be running. Things to do: take sub with engine and box out. Change clutch and brake hydraulics (never done that, so i'm just curious), put the new engine togheter, mount it on the sub+gearbox and put it under the car. Weld the new exhaust togheter with the v-bands and new Borla backbox. Changing oilfeedlines from turbo and oilcooler, changing waterhoses and all the clamps. Put in the xrd, go on monday to fastchip, put gauges in it, put bonnet, front and rearbump and boot on it (tuesday), clean it on wednesday and leave belgium on thursday. Sounds like a nice plan aint it ? :smokin:

serious, she's the best and apreciate what i'm doing with the cars for myself and others. Ok, for now it costs a lott by the car value is rising...very fast.

Bad news is: even in belgium the original parts are out off order (simple clutch for the quadra aint avaible no longer)

Jo
26-03-2008, 09:03 AM
dusting, kuch*kuch*

the car is back on the road in his previous set up (minor changes). All hoses on turbosite are new (breaded), custom waterpipe's samco (finaly) and another Gt2871R is fitted.

Its not gonna run for long because you cant quit with these cars.

So, after some experiments with jap cars i'm going in to the external wastegate street. Had a good look on dave's selfmade EW and decided to do it a bit diff.

I'll took the manifold from the rally laguna and test-fitted it on the car. Before that i had an appointment with turbo service belgium to calculate what turbo was best for my set up and what i had in mind with the car/engine.

The goal is/was 350 on the wheels with minimum 500Nm, max 600 Nm at max 1.7 bar boost.

It turned out in a Gt3071R with a new developed turbine , .78 , from Garret.

A new custom clutch/flywheel package is also in the pipeline.

Looks good Jo. That manifold sits really low on the Turbo side though, will the Turbo fit down there?

Jo
26-03-2008, 12:22 PM
aye,

got to move the oilfilter and filtercap and swap it with a cup connection. Fits perfect over there.

Offcourse, new downpipe recomanded.

Jo

its a long time that ive been here.

Updates ? Couple...
working on Phil's car at the moment and got several project of my own 2.

Bought 3 R19's (valvers), Gtt and another 21 (in progress).

The idea for the 19's is simple, 2 donors, 1 good and convert it to turbo just like i did with Glen's 19. Small diff., no low boost conversion this time.
http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd11/joke222/oud.jpg

Head already done, 3angle seat valve's and sittings, valve sittings reworked (they fall deeper in the head). Low down torque advance.
